Dear devotees,
Shri Kshetra Bhandooru is a sacred place located in the serene village of Haravali, in the
Honnaur Taluk of Uttara Kannada district. It is the abode of the primordial power,
transformed into the divine deity Shri Bhandooreshwari. Countless devotees visit the
Bhandooru Kshetra to seek the divine blessings of Shri Bhadureshwari Devi and experience
spiritual fulfillment.
Shri Kshetra has a history that spans thousands of years, as evidenced by ancient
inscriptions and temple structures. The temple was magnificently renovated during the reign
of King Kadamba Mayuravarman. However, around 780 years ago, during a religious conflict,
the temple was destroyed, as mentioned in the Ashtamangala Prashnavali.
